BOTANIGEM Tree of Life Necklace Day
The Bursaria Spinosa flower is also known as the Christmas bush and is native to Australia. It is preserved by using methods like pressing and tinting techniques. The flower was rearranged to create a tree shape and was then encased in resin. Using hand-shaped mother-of-pearl leaves, an elegant glow was created throughout the tree.

“I was a textile designer in South Korea and migrated to South Australia in 2007. I was inspired to start creating botanical jewellery because I wanted to make something wearable from the nature around me. The Tree of Life, Day and Night was created from the Australian nature in the environment around where I live.
The Day version was inspired by what I felt under a tree as the sunshine beamed through like a sun catcher. The Tree of Life – Night was made to create the feel of being illuminated during the night.” – Rachel Jang
