From the world of COBI comes a model of the German Sturmpanzer II self-propelled gun which was used during the warfare in North Africa. This kit from COBI has been designed with the greatest attention to detail. Using high quality prints rather than stickers this model will really please those builders who like detail in their kits. The high quality of this kit means that the prints do not wear after time or with play from little one’s hands. The model has movable cannon, wheels and tracks. The kit comes with figure of a German soldier in a tropical uniform who is equipped with a cap, rubber removable goggles, MP 40 machine gun and a suitcase. As well as the figure this set also includes openable boxes and lockers and attached accessories in the form of a blade and shovel to really add extra detail. This fantastic kit of the Sturmpanzer II will delight fans, young or old of military history and construction kits. A card with vehicle statistics is included in the set. It can be used during COBI Battle Game Strategy session. The German self-propelled 15 cm sIG 33B Selbstfahrlafette was commonly known as a Sturmpanzer II Bison. During the French campaign the self-propelled guns on the PzKpfw I chassis were very effective. However, the model was too high and the chassis overload was noticeable. The response to the detected defects was a new self-propelled gun built on the modified chassis of the PzKpfw II tank. The hull of the prototype with 60 cm, width 32 cm, the engine was installed across, one running wheel was added and a heavy 15 cm sIG 33 150 mm cannon was mounted. Despite numerous modifications, the self-propelled cannon did not meet expectations. It was still too tight for the crew and the engine overheated. Modifications of the chassis made it impossible to build new self-propelled guns on the basis of PzKpfw II tanks withdrawn from the main warfare. Only 12 units were produced in a trial series. These guns were then incorporated into two independent companies of motorized infantry guns 707 and 708 included in the Afrika Korps. In Africa they took part in the warfare from February to December 1942. The British probably acquired 6 copies, some of which were used by Egypt during the First Israeli-Arab War. 465 high quality construction blocks, produced in the EU by a company with over 20 years of tradition, meet the safety standards for children's products, Fully compatible with other brands of construction blocks, Printed pads do not deform and do not fade during play or under temperature, 100% prints, no stickers, clear and intuitive instruction based on drawings and icons, One figure,
