Kakadu Plum Co. Australian Bush Soy Candle
Our bush soy candle will light up any room and make it smell like the Australian bush.
Named to acknowledge Man-gala Ñ wet season
The lifestyle for the Yawuru communities during Man-gala The wet season, when the strong northwest wind brings the rains in from the sea. Man-gala occurs approximately during December to March. The length of the season depends upon the beginning and end of the 'wet'.
People would take shelter in the shelters constructed during Laja. Ropes made from Pindan Wattle would hold down the huts during squalls and cyclones.
What better way than to also celebrate Indigenous language and words. Man-Gala is the Summer months in the Yawuru calendar {December -March} - the Indigenous Australian people of Western Australia. These months are one of the most precious as it is Kakadu Plum harvest time.
