STORY: The Floating City of Venice was first settled about 400AD. Perhaps the most extraordinary and beautiful City in the world it is built around 118 islands that are separated by canals and linked by more than 400 bridges. From the 13th. to the 17th.Century the city was a centre for commerce trading in silk, grain and spice. The Gondola has existed in Venice since the 11th. Century. Around the 14th. Century it is estimated some 10,000 Gondolas traversed the Venetian Canals. Today approximately 400 remain serving tourists and locals.

THIS 100% PURE SILK CHIFFON SCARF (AWTA Tested) is 8mm (35gms per square metre) which is slightly heavier with superior colour and durability than the standard 6mm (26gms per square metre). It has a plain-weave, is smooth, absolutely sheer with a subtle silky sheen, drapes well yet feels weightless against the skin. Silk Twill, Silk Habotai and Silk Tabbi are different in weight, touch, sheen and feel.
