STORY: Koalas are one of the world’s most iconic animals and are found exclusively in Australia. The Koala is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial dining almost solely on eucalyptus leaves. Koalas give birth to immature young that crawl into their mothers pouches and stay for around six months. Having a low nutrition diet Koalas sleep about 18 hours a day. Along with the Kangaroo the Koala is recognized as a symbol of Australia. Koalas are well camouflaged in their natural habitat among the trees and leaves.
