STORY: Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926) was a Catalan architect known as the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernism. His architecture integrated crafts such as ceramics, stained glass and wrought ironwork. Between 1984 and 2005 seven of his works were declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO. His most famous work being the church of the Sagrada Familia. Parc Güell was opened to the public in 1926 after a construction time of around 15 years. The Twill Silk and design of this scarf highlight the complex patterns, character and colours of the small glossy tiles in Gaudi’s Artwork.
THIS 100% SILK TWILL SCARF combines the utilitarian strength of the Twill weave whilst maintaining a fine smooth texture. It has a wonderful drape, great lustre and gives a sheen to enrich vibrant colours. It is ideally suited to complement styled garments. Weighing approximately 50g per square meter it is rated at 12mm in the silk weight scale. Silk Twill is different from Silk Chiffon, Silk Tabbi and Silk Hbotai in terms of characteristics weight, touch and feel.
