Sifa translates to ‘Praise’ in Kiswahili, and is a handwoven sustainable basket made from medium weave natural sisal with sisal handles.

The Sifa basket is hand-made in a see-through design, available in one size only, measuring approximately 30 x 30 cm. It’s perfect for every day use, especially for those trips to the local markets.

When you order a Sifa basket from Manabaskets, you are empowering women weavers, and supporting Manasprings, a charitable organisation that supports grassroots women leaders caring for vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

100% of profits are given back to Manasprings.

Given every Manabasket is handmade, the size may differ slightly. The Sifa basket comes in ten colours – natural, white, sand, light brown, grey, denim blue, hot pink, sage green, ruby red and bright yellow. Due to the hand-dyeing, there will be variations in the colours. We will always do our best to provide you with the most fabulous, one-of-a-kind baskets. Slight imperfections are celebrated, and are not defects in the basket.
