Manabaskets ZAWADI

Zawadi means 'Gift' in Kiswahili, and this collection of handwoven baskets is made with thick weave natural sisal and strong, double sided stitched leather handles. The large baskets take two weeks to hand weave.

Every Zawadi basket is hand-made by women belonging to basket weaving cooperatives in Kenya. Available in four different sizes, they are beautifully durable, and perfect as storage baskets, laundry baskets, toy baskets, beach baskets, and for carrying shopping items.

When you order a Zawadi basket from Manabaskets, you are empowering women weavers, and supporting Manasprings, a charitable organisation that supports grassroots women leaders caring for vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

100% of profits are given back to Manasprings.

Given every Manabasket is handmade, the size may differ. Colours and designs in photographs are an indication only of the collection. We will alway do our best to provide you with the most fabulous, one-of-a-kind baskets from the selection you choose. Available in XXL, XL, L, M. As the Zawadi baskets are made by hand, the slight imperfections are celebrated, and are not defects in the basket.
